"I DID IT!"

I, Lauren Jayne Loock, graduated last night.

I am feeling very accomplished right now, and as of this afternoon, it's finally starting to sink in that I don't ever have to go to High School Again. Weird.

Graduation was great, and wasn't as boring as everyone said it would be!! I felt very honoured to walk in with the concert choir and sit on the stand- It was neat to be able to look out and see all my classmates. A few of my classmates gave GREAT speeches, and it was even fun to hear good ol' Scooter Tennis talk to us as his last graduating class before he, too, leaves Viewmont. My friends and family cheered as I got my mock diploma and went down the line shaking hands-- I just kept thinking, "Wow, I never thought i'd live to be in this moment. I DID IT!"

After the ceremony, there was a mob of hyper, happy, and excited teenagers. You could feel the energy of everyone as it finally hit them all-- This is the end... or is it the beginning? All of us scrambled about trying to get pictures with our friends and families. No one was really sad at this moment. Just happy. I'm sure the sadness will come later though.

My great family was there, supporting me, and were as excited as I was. Thanks to all of them for, not only coming to cheer me on, but helping me every step of the way for the past 13 years. I love you guys!

Right Before Graduation, My Grandpa gave me a necklace that belonged
to my Grandma Loock who passed away a few weeks ago.
It was an honour to wear this emblem representing her Spirit.
It was like she was there.
Love you Grandma.

As proud as I am of myself, I also couldn't be prouder of my amazing friends. We all have worked soo hard, and it has been one heck of a ride. I know I wouldn't be here if it weren't for their love and support as well. I know everyone says this, but I truly have the GREATEST best friends in the world. Congrats you guys!

Reid was one of the Valedictorians, and I am sooo super
proud of him for working so hard. Go Reid.
Everyone was Jealous of mine and Sam's "Cord Awesome"
You should be too.

Now It's time to look towards the future. I will never forget the memories that were made the past few years, and I know that I've learned lessons that will help me as I grow up and start living a life of my own. I am so thankful to have been a Viking, and I will forever hold that legacy close near me. I still can't believe I'm a GRADUATE!!!!!

WE DID IT!!!
