Tanner

Tanner is the name of the boy with the dream,
and getting to New York is just part of his scheme.
He works hard all the time,
Which i...nspired this rhyme,
Man, I'm sure glad he's on my life team.

21 is the number he is turning today,
and when it comes to bdays, poems are the way.
So give me a bit,
while you all take a sit,
To tell you why this boy… is more than okay.

I met this boy one day many years ago,
when my jr. high life was at an all time low.
We clicked right away,
and still to this day,
We are as close as ever, IF I dare say so.

He’s tall dark and handsome for heavens sake
and to comb his eyebrows, he uses a rake.
but it’s not all about looks,
Cuz sometimes he cooks
but, when given the chance, he WILL drop the cake.

The thing about Tanner that stands out the most,
I will tell you now in this very long post…
He’s a friend that is true,
and family through and through,
to that, I offer him…. the grandest of toasts!

Everyone raise your glass, before shedding a tear,
In hopes my best friend has a fabulous year!
This post isn’t all,
I’m still “sniffing the wall,”
